by Christine Liu Speeddate, Wechat, Beetalk, Match, Tinder, Badoo…. You must have come across at least one of these names, so you shouldn’t be a problem for you to figure out what they are. Yes, there are the most popular dating websites for year 2014. Even though dating websites and mobile phone applications have become so prominent and widespread nowadays, people are still lacking faith in online dating. Why? The website “StatisticBrain.com” revealed that personality is the top priority that people look out for on their first date. Does that give you a clue on why online dating always land up futile after going on the first date in real life? This explains the essence of not judging a book by its cover and brings us to the importance of “character”. Now, what if I could teach you the trick of grasping someone’s personality at your fingertips without even meeting him or her, and save you the time wasted on first dates filled with uncertainties? The trick lies within graphology. Graphology is the study of a person’s handwriting so as to analyze his or her personality, character, and even abilities. For starters, I will now enlighten you with a few crucial aspects to look out when interpreting someone’s handwriting. Firstly, the spacing between adjacent words. If you are looking for a stable relationship and a trustworthy partner who will not eventually choose freedom over you, then the spacing in his or her handwriting should not be too wide. Wide spacing between words discloses that the person is a fan of personal space and do not enjoy responsibilities and restraints. Thus, he or she is most likely not your target for starting a family. Moving on, the pressure someone applies to writing also exposes some component of the person’s handwriting. For someone who applies very little pressure, as shown through lighter-colored handwriting and also the fact that pen mark is not reflected on the next page, the person is very sensitive to others’ feelings and empathetic. On the other hand, for someone whose handwriting is very dark and thick, the person is devoted to commitments and takes matters seriously. However, the latter may be a little uptight at times. Next, the general orientation and shapes of the letters is also crucial in interpreting the handwriting. If you are looking for someone mature and rational, you should look out for a handwriting of which the letters are upright, not slanting to either sides, like the letter “e” below. This kind of people are always logical, practical, and not emotional. If the person’s handwriting tends to slant to the right, resembling the letter “g” below, then he or she should be an easy target since a person with this kind of handwriting is very open to new experiences and loves meeting new people. For people whose handwriting resembles the letter “b” below (slanted to the left), they are the mysterious type. If you enjoy discover new characteristics of your partner every day and hope that your relationship is always filled with surprises, then Mr./Ms. Mystery is your Mr./Ms. Right.
Also, by simply examining the way someone dots the small letter “i”, we could know a lot of things about his personality. Personally, I prefer a man who dots his “i” just on top of the base, like the light-blue dot. This shows that he is organized, careful with details, and empathetic in what you do. Someone who dots the way represented by the dark blue or hollow dots is imaginative and childlike, so if you want to be the ultimate “mommy”/”daddy” in the family, you could look out for this kind of person. Lastly, people who dot on the top left side of the base or slash instead of dotting are those you may want to avoid. The former is a typical procrastinator who never gets things done while the latter can be classified as a perfectionist who is overly critical and has zero patience for people who can’t learn from their mistakes. Good news is that the last two types of people are really the rare species so it shouldn’t be much of a difficult task to avoid them. Last but not least is the letter “t” trick. Someone who is ambitious, optimistic, and have a high level of self-esteem will be represented by the yellow stroke, which is right on top and is neither too long nor too short. On the exact location but with a longer length, shown by the orange portions, is someone who is enthusiastic and determined. On extreme cases, he/she may be stubborn and has a hard time letting go. Thus, if you want clear-cut break-ups, try not to start a relationship with this kind of people in the first place. For someone, or rather for most people, crossing the “t” somewhere near the middle (represented by the blue stoke including the darker portions) means that he/she is confident and feels good about himself/herself. However, if the cross is too narrow, as shown by the light blue portion, then you may have a hard time trying to get that person out of the couch because he/she is the definite lazy-bone. But still, if you are not that diligent too, then feel free to join in the couch potatoes’ clique. All that being said, hope you have soaked all the information in like a sponge and a gentle advice to various online dating platforms: You may want to adopt this (below) for your next version update. a
